Guidelines
All homes within the Logan's Crossing are eligible
Nominations must be received by the 15th day of the prior month (for example, August’s award recipient must be
nominated by July 15th)
Nominations from previous months may be considered if a suitable recipient is not identified from that month’s nominations
Key criteria include: overall appearance, tidiness, creativity, and beautification
Properties may be personally or professionally maintained
You may nominate your own property
The same property cannot receive more than one award in a 3-month period
The award duration lasts one calendar month, beginning on the first day and ending on the last day of the same month
During the month of recognition, recipients are expected to maintain their yard in the same manner that allowed them to win the title
Recipients shall surrender the yard sign on the last day of their award month
Criteria
Yard of the Month candidates are judged on the total exterior appearance of their property and front yard as viewed from the street. General upkeep of the yard and property is paramount. Factors include:
Overall appearance: attractive and pleasing to the eye
Tidiness and neatness: free of litter, junk and debris
Well-groomed: pruned and trimmed foliage/defined lawns, borders, and flower beds
Buildings, fences, and structures: in good repair so as not to distract from the landscape
